I’ve tried so many hand washes as I’ve aged but also because my daughter suffers from eczema. We have found gloved to be so soft and moisturising that both my skin but most importantly my daughter’s (aged 30) eczema has improved as it’s not being dried out by harsh soaps. A forest scene with many layers. A hint of fresh lime, like warm sunlight shining through the canopy, is met with bracing green notes of juniper and angelica. Iris root next; silvery and decadent. Underpinning it all is cedarwood itself; a crisp, clean wood that is at once familiar and sophisticated.

Why 'CEDARWOOD'?
“Hand care has unique requirements when it comes to fragrance; it’s a
tough brief! Your hands are such vital, busy tools, anything too shouty would
be inappropriate. In ‘CEDARWOOD’, I hope people will discover a scent with
presence, but one that doesn’t overpower or distract. A feel-good accompaniment
whilst you go about your business. I also wanted the restorative, comforting
properties that come with nature evoking scents, but with added layers of
sophistication too. ‘CEDARWOOD’ feels ‘of the forest’ but is refined enough for
any setting.”
I didn't think a hand wash could feel like a luxury, but Gloved's Active-Hydrate Hand Wash in Cedarwood proved me wrong. The scent is gorgeous: fresh lime up front, then green forest notes, then a smooth woody finish with hints of juniper and iris. It smells like a fine fragrance, which makes sense since it was designed by Tom Daxon. The scent stays on your hands for a while afterward without being overpowering.
What really sold me is how my hands feel. Most soaps leave my skin tight and dry, especially with how often I wash. This one cleans well and leaves my hands softer than before I used it, thanks to the glycerin and hyaluronic acid. It's SLS-free and gentle enough for sensitive skin, and I've stopped reaching for hand cream after every wash.
I also love the details. The heavy glass bottle looks beautiful on the counter, the pump is reusable, and 1L refills mean no single-use plastic. It's vegan, cruelty-free, 85% natural, and made in the UK.
