Split knuckles by week three? It’s not a you problem. It’s a soap problem.

A newborn means washing your hands more than twenty times a day. The Unscented Starter Set puts the care in the wash: hyaluronic acid hydrates while you clean, the lotion is absorbed before you pick them up, and nothing scented near them.

Sound familiar?

Washing 24 times a day isn’t the problem. Washing with a soap that strips your hands is.

After every nappy. Before every feed and every bottle. After the bin, after the nursery run. The NHS puts a young baby at 10 to 12 nappy changes and at least 8 to 12 feeds a day, with a hand wash after each nappy and before you make up a feed. Call it 24, and that’s a quiet day.

Most hand washes clean by stripping. Do that 24 times a day and your skin never gets a chance to recover: the tap starts to sting, the knuckles crack, and by week three your hands look like the photo. It isn’t you, and it isn’t the number of washes. It’s what the wash takes out and doesn’t put back.

The fix isn’t washing less. It’s a wash with hyaluronic acid that hydrates as it cleans, so every one of the 24 puts something back.

Three reasons newborn parents are switching their hand care

A wash that hydrates while it cleans and a lotion that’s gone in seconds. Both unscented, and nothing extra to remember.

First

Nothing scented near them

100% fragrance free, wash and lotion. Most nice hand care smells strong. This has no fragrance at all, so when they’re on your chest or at a feed the only smell on you is them.

Second

The wash does the looking after

Hyaluronic acid, glycerin, bio-lipids and provitamin B5 in the Active-Hydrate Hand Wash, so the step you never skip hydrates as it cleans. Nothing stripped off at the tap, 24 times a day.

Third

The lotion is gone before you pick them up

Instant-Absorb Hand Lotion: one pump with the free hand, rubbed in in seconds, nothing greasy left for a bottle teat or a newborn. The hand-cream step, for people who don’t have a hand-cream minute.

I have a new baby and would have chosen the fragrance free option had I known.

Tom’s notes

The questions new parents ask us, answered by the founder.

Is Unscented really unscented?

Yes. 100% fragrance free, which is why some people say it smells of nothing at all. It’s the same formula and the same glass bottle as the scented range, with the fragrance left out.

Why put hyaluronic acid in a hand wash?

Because most hand washes strip your skin barrier every time you use them, and with a newborn that’s more than twenty times a day. Ours hydrates while it cleans, so the washing itself stops being the damage. It isn’t a miracle cream. It’s skincare for your hands, in the one step you never skip.

How does the Repair Plan work?

You get the Starter Set today for £49. Then every 3 months we send a refill pouch for £49, alternating hand wash and hand lotion, with an email 3 days before. Pause, skip, change the gap, switch to hand wash only or to a different scent, all from your account.

Can I cancel after the first box?

Yes. Log in, open your Repair Plan, tap Cancel and confirm. No reason needed, no minimum, and you keep the £49 price on the set you already have.

Why is buying once £69?

The £49 price is for people starting a refill routine with us, which is how the glass bottles make sense. Buying once is still £43 under the £112 the five products cost separately, and there’s nothing recurring.

I’m buying it as a present for a new mum. Anything I should know?

Ship it to her address at checkout. It comes in a recycled box with no plastic. If she’d rather have a scent later, she can switch any refill to Cedarwood, Soft Nude or Petitgrain from her account.
